While surfing the internet, I found the cutest idea for making tortilla chips out of flour tortillas. They were in these adorable fall leaf shapes and for the life of me, I can’t find the site again. I thought it would be so fun to use some leftover flour and corn tortillas that I happened to have on hand, to make some fun tortilla chips for Halloween! So today I am really excited to share these Homemade Halloween Chips with you! Keep reading for all the details.
(And if anyone knows where the fun fall leaf chips were from, let me know! I’d love to link to them!)

Since I was making Halloween chips, I got out some fun cat and bat cookie cutters. I decided to cut out both shapes from the flour and corn tortillas.
These aren’t the exact cookie cutters that I have, but these Halloween Cookie Cutters are super cute and would make the cutest shape for these Homemade Halloween chips!
I dipped some of the shapes into soy sauce and some of them in tomato basil spaghetti sauce from Trader Joe’s and let them sit in the sauce for a few minutes.
When I removed the chips from the sauce, I wiped the excess sauce off of the tortillas.
Both the soy sauce and spaghetti sauce gave the chips quite a bit of flavor so I didn’t need to add extra salt to them. And it also added some really fun color to the Halloween Chips as well!
If you want the color to be darker, you can leave them in the sauces for a bit longer.
I baked these homemade chips at 350 for about 12-14 minutes until crispy, turning halfway through.
The black ones were the ones dipped in soy sauce and the orange ones are the tomato basil ones.
These homemade chips are so very full of flavor…it will be hard to go back to store-bought chips after these!
This recipe is super easy to customize too! Feel free to use any sauce to soak your tortillas in for added flavor and color. I can’t wait to try this with other sauces!
These would be extra yummy served with hummus or salsa!
