  1. Sprinkle garlic salt and pepper onto both sides of the steak.
  2. Sear with oil in a very hot pan on both sides.
  3. Place steak and the olive oil used to sear the steak into a Ziploc bag.
  4. Place Sous Vide into a pot full of water and bring it to temperature according to your particular Sous Vide and the done-ness that you want the steak.
  5. Place the steak in the Ziploc bag into the water and secure the bag to the side of the pot with a clip.
  6. When the steak is done, I like to give it another quick sear on the stove with oil or butter.
  7. Serve and enjoy.
Recipe Notes

When you cook Steak with a Sous Vide, you get a steak that is evenly cooked the whole way through.  That means if you want a medium cooked steak, it will be the same pink-ness throughout the whole steak not just in the center.  Many people like to set the Sous Vide to cook at 1 setting of more doneness then they would like it cooked.  Either way, you will get a beautifully cooked, juicy, delicious steak every single time.
