Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Onions frozen or fresh
  • 32 oz Jarred Marinara Sauce
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Clove Garlic minced
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 lb Ziti or Rotini Noodles
  • 2-3 cups Shredded Mozzarella
Instructions
  1. Cook ground beef and chopped onions over the stove until onions are soft and beef is fully cooked. Drain.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients except the mozzarella into the ground beef mixture.
  3. Bring mixture to a simmer.
  4. Simmer for 20-30 minutes until noodles are tender.
  5. Pour mixture into a 9x13 pan and top with cheese.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes until cheese is melted and it is heated throughout.
  7. If you would like to freeze this, stop after step 5, cover and put in the freezer. When you are ready to eat it, bake as directed in step 6. When cooking from frozen it will take about 45-60 minutes. Do not thaw before cooking.
