Oh man, Back to School is right around the corner and if you are looking for the perfect teacher gift, I have one for you today!  This Apple Mason Jar is so simple to make, you don't need any fancy supplies or tools, and your kids can even make it!  You can fill it with any useful teacher supply like pencils, markers, pens or treats!  And the best part is that this can be reused my your teacher all year long as a pencil holder on their desk!  I love how simple this was to make and how super cute it turned out!

    Mason Jar Teacher Gift

To create this apple mason jar, you will need:

    • Mason Jar
    • Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint, Rouge
    • Foam Brush
    • Jute
    • Green Card Stock
    • Scissors
    • Hole Punch

    Supplies

First you will want to paint the outside of your mason jar with the chalk paint.  Take your time, let it dry well, and do 2-3 coats for a completely opaque finish.  You can use sand paper to distress it a bit if you want to after it is completely dry.

Cut a leaf shape out of your green paper, I just free-handed it.  And then I used a hole punch to punch a hole in one side of the leaf.

Wrap jute around the top of the jar and attach the leaf to the jute as well.

Fill the apple mason jar with much needed school supplies or a fun treat for the teacher!  If you give pencils, your teacher will love you even more if you sharpen them first!  But pens, markers or treats are also other great ideas to fill this with as well!

    Happy Back to School!
